My practice is located in SW4, a one-minute walk from Clapham Common tube (northern line) and five/six minutes from Clapham High Street overground station. The building is wheelchair accessible.
I am a fully accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have worked as a psychotherapist within the NHS as well as in private practice and have experience of all kinds of people bringing along all kinds of concerns and circumstances.
I have benefited from extensive training at
The Minster Centre, London, and in the
US and am particularly influenced by contemporary, relational approaches which are backed up by an increasing body of research evidence. The multidisciplinary field of neuroscience, which studies structural, functional and emotional brain networks, is contributing hugely to our understanding of why people experience distress internally, in response to daily life stressors, in relation to others, and in the face of difficult life events. I have researched aspects of trauma and particularly welcome contact from people who struggle to make sense of aspects of their outlook or history. I am not a couple counsellor.
My own background is in film and television production. I made broadcast documentaries for fifteen years before sharpening my focus in the realm of psychotherapy.
Please contact me to arrange an initial session on 020 7622 6575 or email lynnkeane@googlemail.com.
There is no charge for the initial, exploratory session if either of us decides not to take it further. If we do carry on working together, I will charge for this session. My fees are £50 per session. Please contact me if you require any further information. I look forward to meeting you.
